The premise of the exhibit takes the dual inquiries into the layered histories of Governor’s Island as indigenous site, military outpost and leisurely summer island in tandem with a layered materiality in dialogue with both the artistically potentiality of materials like paper and plastic and their potential destruction when polluting NY's waterways.
