Between the Covers: An Intro to Artist Books

May 2 - 5, 2024

An artist book is a unique way to incorporate different media and ideas into a single work. Explore a variety of methods and materials that will guide you in creating your own series of artist books.Learn different bookbinding structures, the art of Suminagashi paper marbling, and basic block printing techniques to produce original interpretations of what a book can be. At the end of the workshop, students will have a library of artist books, structure models, and decorated papers to take home for future projects. All levels are welcome.

*May 2 is the arrival day for this session. Workshop instruction starts on May 3 and ends May 5.
